Score Some Points:
Learn Beyond the Classroom
|

- It is time to update your Learning Beyond the Classroom portfolio and score some points. You have done lots of experiential learning, so take some time and submit reports on activities already completed.
- May 2023 graduates: remember that you must have completed the program by the end of January 2023 in order to earn the LBC certificate.
- If you have submitted a report, check and see if you have been asked to supply more information. If you find that you have received “0” points on a report, click on your score and you will see what questions you have been asked to answer. Resubmit your report with the required information so that your LBC points can be updated.

| Interested in how spices and herbs contributed to the medical discoveries? Join us on a study abroad experience to Morocco. The College of Science is hosting Science and Spices of Morocco, spring break 2023 from March 11 – 19, 2023. This experience will give students an overview and background on the geography, culture, and the impact of spice on the history of Morocco. This course will explore principle geographic features, customs, traditions, and much more. This study abroad experience is a real-world learning laboratory!

Experiential Ed Scholarships |
|
The Office of ExEd has a scholarship opportunity for students participating in experiential education. Student must be participating in an experiential education opportunity offered by Purdue University. To qualify, students must be a Purdue West Lafayette undergraduate or PharmD student, in good academic standing, enrolled full-time or part-time, and meet the financial aid citizenship requirements. Scholarships can be awarded in amounts of up to $2000. The amount awarded may vary depending on the type of experiential education opportunity and expenses related to the experience. Scholarships are merit-based, and these funds are intended to supplement other scholarship funds or a student’s own personal funds
To qualify, applications must be submitted by the appropriate due date as listed below:
- For winter term and spring funds, applications are due by November 1
- For summer 2023 funds, applications are due by February 22
To apply, students will need to complete the Experiential Education Scholarship application found on the ExEd website

With a deep appreciation for contextual design and the desire to create, we have been fortunate enough to design award winning landscapes throughout New England and have some fun along the way.
We are seeking an intern to entry level designer to join our team. The ideal team member’s relevant professional experience should include:
0-3 years of experience in the field of landscape design
Understanding of earth sculpting and grading
Excellent written/verbal communication skills

Comfort level and confidence to communicate with clients and collaborators.

Statehouse Internship for
Spring 2023 Deadline 10/31 |
|
The Indiana House of Representatives Republican Internship Program offers
paid, spring semester internships at the Indiana Statehouse in downtown
Indianapolis. This internship is a unique opportunity to gain practical
knowledge of state government through active participation in the
legislative process. Working closely with legislators, interns develop professional skills
while strengthening their political knowledge. The experiences gained
while interning with the House Republican Caucus will benefit students’
academic growth. During the legislative session, House Republican
interns are a part of a governing body that produces laws and shapes

The Indiana Senate Republican Caucus offers paid, spring-semester
internships to recent and current college undergraduates as well as
graduate students. Interns work directly with Indiana legislators at the
Statehouse, located in downtown Indianapolis. This internship is a
unique opportunity to gain practical knowledge of state government

| Intern with the Indiana House Democrats, this unique learning experience gives students and recent graduates the opportunity to work alongside state representatives at the Indiana Statehouse during a session of the Indiana General Assembly. Interns working with the Senate Democratic Caucus are assigned to assist
legislators and staff, to expand their knowledge of the Indiana General
Assembly and the legislative process. Senate interns work full-time
assisting staff in various departments. Based on individual
qualifications, interns will be placed in the communications office,
member services division, policy analysis, attorney’s office, or with
tax and fiscal policy staff. Each intern’s responsibilities will depend
